Dear Mr Maceley-Young,

Your new gas prepayment card is on its way

We’ll be installing a gas prepayment smart meter in your home soon.

Your new top up card should arrive in the post in the next few days, with details of how to use it.

If you need to top up your smart meter before your card arrives, just follow these simple steps:

Take your top up number Removed for Privacy to your local PayPoint outlet. You can find your nearest PayPoint outlet here
Buy the amount of credit you’d like – you can add anything from £5 to £49 in one go
The cashier will need to enter your top up number. Keep hold of the receipt until the credit is showing on your smart meter display – it should be added to your meter automatically within 45 minutes

We’re here to help

If you have any questions, please email or call our Smart Metering team on 0333 777 0 777. You’ll need your Membership number (above) when making the call.

Thank you,

The Smart Metering Team

To whom it May concern,

I am writing with regards to the emails received about the upcoming installs of the new smart meters that electricity companies are delivering to all homes in the UK.

Firstly, until a point where this discussion is fully resolved, please place any install you have on record on hold until a satisfactory conclusion to me is met, or a long term exposure on human life has been reached.

I wish to request all information regarding the health warnings on smart meters as is required under health and safety law on all products installed in properties.

I am against having smart meter installed in my home, due to health concerns the new technology raises and have seen plenty of evidence than suggests that these devices are more dangerous than mobile phones (which the general public were told was safe in the mid to late 90’s, it is now known after 20/30 years that the RF radiation can cause tumours).

Doctors have told MP’s that the smart meters emit up to 800 times more radiation than cellular devices, as i have mental health conditions, my primary concern is not to add anything to the property that could or does cause the conditions to get worse.

I look forward to your reply.

Sincerely,

Mat MacEley-Young
